Happy Monday, Magnificent Stratton Family!!!

We are so proud of our students first week back to school!! Students are off to a fantastic start by working hard and following expectations. Please let us know if you need anything to make this a year of growth and attainment for all!

Please encourage students to be kind to their peers and show respect to themselves, others, and property! All students deserve to attend an emotionally safe learning environment! We appreciate your help with this.

Thank you all so much for your patience, cooperation, and feedback as we introduce our new arrival and dismissal procedures. We appreciate your continuous support.

Arrival/Dismissal:

Car riders will be dropped off and picked up from the front circle drive off Randolph St. Please pull up behind the car in front upon arrival.  When traffic stops, please unload or pick up your student(s)  on the right side only. For the safety of all students, please watch for and follow the directives of the staff on duty.

Building Access:

Arrival: Students are permitted inside the building at 8:20 a.m. This is a non-negotiable due to a lack of supervision before 8:20 am. Please be sure that you are not dropping students off before 8:15 a.m. Upon entry, students should go directly to the cafeteria if they want to eat breakfast; otherwise, they are to report to class. Breakfast and lunch are free for all elementary students.

Stratton Students LEARN & USE New Words!

We are exploring a school-wide initiative to expose all students to new academic vocabulary to promote student success! The work for this week is paramount (adj)—chief of importance or impact; supreme. The interest of the student is of paramount importance. Please share this word with your family and continue celebrating our students as they use and learn new words!!

AVID in Action!

AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination! This school year, we will introduce students, staff, and families to W.I.C.O.R. strategies (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading) that will support us as we develop into lifelong thinkers and learners. This year, all Stratton students will monitor their planners to stay organized and updated on their educational experiences.

Please do not be a stranger! We look forward to seeing you soon!

We Are Stratton Strong!!!

Sincerely, Zipporah Gwin
