Welcome Back, Wonderful Stratton Family!!!

We can not wait to see you all tomorrow at 8:20 am!!! The entire Stratton Team is excited about the endless possibilities in store for us all this school year!! Please continue to be visible and active participants in our student's academic and social development. We can only do this important work with your involvement!!!

It is my honor to introduce the Stratton Administration Team!

Mr. Greg Juriga, our returning assistant principal, will focus on supporting students and families in grades K-2, while Ms. Diana Perez, our new assistant principal, will center on grades 3-5. As always, I will remain available to assist all students and families throughout this journey of educational excellence. Please do not hesitate to reach out to any of us for any reason. It is our honor to work with you and our students every day!!!

Our car-rider and pick-up system has changed, so please read the directives below:

Drop Off / Pick Up:

Doors Open @ 8:20 am - School Starts @ 8:40 am -School Ends @ 3:30 pm.

Car riders will be dropped off and picked up from the front circle drive off Randolph St. Please pull up behind the car in front upon arrival.  When traffic stops, please unload or pick up your student(s)  on the right side only. For the safety of all students, please watch for and follow the directives of the staff on duty. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation.

Building Access:

Arrival: Students are permitted inside the building at 8:20 a.m., not before. This is non-negotiable due to a lack of supervision and contractual start times for staff. Please be sure students are not dropped off before 8:15 a.m, especially when the weather is unsafe. Upon entry, students should go directly to the cafeteria to eat breakfast. Students who do not want to eat should report directly to class.

Dismissal: No parents or visitors will be allowed inside the building between 3:05-3:45 to ensure a swift and safe dismissal for all students. The opportunity to get nearly 500 students to their correct destinations in a safe and timely manner can be challenging. That is why we ask that you understand the need to close the building down for the last 25 minutes of the day. In cases of emergency, you can always access your student. If you arrive at or after 3:05, please ring the bell, and the front office Team will bring your student(s) to the front door for you. Thank you so much for your support with this.

Breakfast and lunch are complimentary for all Unit 4 elementary students.

Stratton Students LEARN & USE New Words!

We are exploring a school-wide initiative to expose all students to new academic vocabulary to promote student success! Please share this word with your family and continue celebrating our students as they use and learn new words!!

AVID in Action!

AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination! This school year, we will introduce students, staff, and families to W.I.C.O.R. strategies (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading) that will support us as we develop into lifelong thinkers and learners.

We can not wait to meet you all!

We Are Stratton Strong!!!

Sincerely, Zipporah Gwin
